Cents Masters -v- London & Down South Masters (May 2016)

The Centurions masters (Over 35’s) were in action before the seniors game, with a great display of rugby league played in the true spirit of the game. The teams, ranging in age from 35 to 65, play in different coloured shorts, each colour expressing the age of the player and how he is allowed to be tackled. Even though the hair may be greying, or in some cases none existent, you could still see the skills and enjoyment of the game shining through. At the end of what was an enjoyable, free flowing game, both teams retired to pitch side to partake in a barrel of specially brewed “Centurions XX” beer, brewed to commemorate the Centurions 20th anniversary year.
